THE BIG BEN EGGS BENEDICT
Our Eggs Benedicts have always been a favourite at breakfast and brunch time. We have a Classic option, a South African inspired option, and our own iconic Big Ben Eggs Benedict. It’s a big breakfast with two poached eggs and hollandaise sauce on a toasted English muffin with baby spinach, grilled tomato, hash browns, cheddar, hickory ham, back bacon, and battered onion rings to top it all off. Perfect when you need a hearty meal to kickstart a cold morning!
If you were wondering, it’s not named after that big clock in London, but Mugg & Bean’s founder, Ben Filmalter, who always believed in adding his own twist to the classics.

We’ve partnered with Chef Mokgadi Itsweng to bring you more and more delicious choices. She’s one of SA’s leading plant-based chefs and through our partnership we hope to show everybody that food can be generously delicious, even without the meat. And that’s exactly what our Spicy Beans on Toast is!
It’s the perfect choice if you want to start your day with a bit of fire in your belly. We make our Spicy Beans on Toast the generous way, with a spiced tomato four-bean medley served on buttered sourdough toast, topped with a poached egg and a dollop of pea pesto. For a healthier option, you can switch to wholewheat or rye bread.
Beans are also a great source of protein and fiber, so they’re the perfect fuel-me-up breakfast food.

When you want something different from the usual bacon and eggs, try our Veg Rosti!
Another breakfast created in collaboration with Chef Mokgadi, this meal comes with two veg rostis topped with pea pesto, herbed mushrooms and tangy pickled cherry tomatoes. Oh, and it’s 100% vegan too!

OUR BREAKFAST BAGEL
Bagels are a breakfast staple the world over, but none are as generous as our Breakfast Bagel. It’s the perfect winter comfort food, with all your favourite flavours in a neat package. Our bagel is buttered and toasted, topped with back bacon, scrambled egg, rocket, tomato chutney and a splash of basil pesto hollandaise sauce. Tasty and indulgent, like all winter meals should be.
